Antika Nueva
Bangs And Bruises Arnica Goo
Regular price
$8.00
Rich shea-butter base solid lotion; this formulation is intended to help heal bruising and swelling. Arnica has been used since forever for its healing properties; this salve is rich in arnica and calendula. Like all the goos, a little goes a long way--a 2 oz. jar should coat an adult head to toe for about 2 months. It's organic, it's relatively soft; in hot weather it will melt and go liquid. Just stick it in the fridge.
Every Goo Has A Story:
As usual, I only think of a goo when something happens. Bangs and Bruises came about because a few winters ago, when clearing the snow off my car, I slipped on the ice in the driveway. I went down like a rock for a five-point landing...knees, elbows, and cracked my face on the bumper as I went, resulting in a shiner the size of Manhattan. Two days later, just about the time the black eye was turning spectacular technicolors, a friend who was over for the afternoon waved a hand at it and said "hey, you know about herbs.... why don't you do something about that?"
Uh, duh. A little futzing later, and I had an arnica salve that made my black eye go away in a few days, rather than a week and a half.
USES:
This is an excellent salve for decreasing bruising. A friend (as graceful as I am, poor girl) uses it for her regular driveway falls in winter--it keeps the swelling down when she twists something, and decreases her bruising exponentially. This is a great salve for taking down swelling from a sprain or clearing up the dinner-plate-sized bruise on your behind after taking a huge fall. Also, my very smart clientele informs me it's great for dark circles under the eyes and bags under the eyes as well...and er.... ahem...hickies.
CONTENTS:
Shea Butter, Infused oils of Comfrey, Arnica, and Calendula, Vitamin E, Rosemary Oil, Lavender Oil, Beeswax
